It’s easy to think that we need to eat more fruit and veg. Nobody is stupid, we all know deep down that we need to do this for a healthy lifestyle.
Well to put it simply, our body is just not designed to cope with the modern western diet. Hence the obesity epidemic that plagues the western world.
Our body is full of enzymes that were put there to break down and utilise natural food sources. Our body does not have enzymes designed to break down Big Macs and fried food.
If the food is not natural, your body will either struggle to break it down or not break it down at all. If food is processed, you will not be getting the full amount of nutrients that your body requires and that it can easily get from a natural food choice.
So take your mind away from weight loss for a moment (the weight is guaranteed to come off if you un-process your diet) and start to think about the health benefits of the food you are eating.
Processed food increases the risk of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease.
Natural food takes the risks away.
